THE SNOBBY AREA
KOLIMBARI
The picturesque fishing village of Kolimbari,
nestling below the Rotherpou Peninsular in
western Crete provides a host of amenities
serving all the tiny villages dotted around.
Although an agricultural area, with olives,
grapes and citrus, there is a peaceful
balance here between the real Crete and low
key tourism. It is in this beautiful and
very green part of Crete, that we have all
our Snobby developments.
Kolimbari itself has supermarkets, a bank,
petrol station, baker, butcher, greengrocer,
hairdresser, a few shops, chemist, dentist
and health centre, besides a wide range of
tavernas serving delicious Cretan food.
While all our Snobby developments are a
short drive away from Kolimbari, Chania
Airport is reached in less than 40 minutes -
the old medieval stone city of Chania is 20
minutes away, while the market town of
Kissamos can be reached in 15 minutes.
There’s no doubt, the Snobby area is
perfectly placed.

FALASARNA
This wonderful sandy stretch of beach, over
a mile long is 20 minutes or so drive from
all our Snobby developments. Relatively
undeveloped, there are no large hotels and
promenades - just drive off the road, down
one of the country lanes and onto the beach.
There are a couple of Kantinas where you can
get a drink, or some food, and hire a sunbed
and umbrella.

RAVDOUCHA
A 15 minute drive from Kolimbari brings you
to the village of Ravdoucha, on the
Rotherpou Peninsular, overlooking the bay
towards Kastelli. Take the excellent winding
road down, with its fantastic view. At the
bottom there is a right hand fork to the
harbour and two tavernas. Take the left fork
and continue ‘til you come to a dead end,
where you park beneath shady tamarind trees
in front of a taverna. Here, you’ll discover
a shallow lagoon below a soaring limestone
cliff.
TAVRONITIS
The bay round from Kolimbari to Tavronitis
is relatively undeveloped. Lined with
tamarind trees and a few tavernas, it is a
delightful spot to relax and drink in the
view across to the Rotherpou Peninsular. The
beach is shingle, but gets sandy as you walk
into the crystal clear sea. If you prefer
quiet beaches, then this is the place to go.
Used mainly by locals it is rarely crowded -
even in August.

CHANIA
The medieval stone city of Chania is the
ancient capital of Crete. The city has had a
turbulent history. It was held by the
Venetians from 1204 until 1645 and then
ruthlessly occupied by the Turks until, in
1913, Crete became unified with Greece. Take
a leisurely stroll through the walled city
and soak up the wonderful atmosphere to be
found. You’ll discover museums, places of
interest, innumerable shops and countless
eating places, in the centuries old tiny
stone alleyways, so narrow, the centuries
old buildings almost lean over and touch
each other. Emerge from this veritable maze
and you will discover the magnificent
horseshoe harbour with its old stone
lighthouse. Here you will see luxury yachts
docked cheek by jowl with fishing smacks,
overlooked by towering stone warehouses
built by the Venetians - but nowadays
restored and renovated into chic restaurants
and shops.

KISSAMOS
Travel west from Kolimbari and a 15 minute
drive brings you to the coastal market town
of Kissamos. As evident by the many
archaeological sites you can see in the town
today, Kissamos was founded in Roman times
when it was an important garrison. Nowadays
the area is a centre for wine and olive oil
and Kissamos itself is a bustling place of
many shops and eating places. Whatever’s on
your shopping list, there’s bound to be a
shop here that sells it. The town boasts
every type of shop you can imagine, several
banks, a hospital, optician, dentist and a
host of places to eat - especially in the
superb fish taverrnas nestling by the
picturesque little harbour where fresh fish
is landed each day. At the port there’s even
a ferry service to the Peloponnese on the
Greek mainland.

THE MANDARINS
Approx. quarter of an acre plots!
|
|
We were so excited with our new Snobby
Starter, that we wanted our first
development to have a ‘wow’ factor that
nothing else could touch. We believe we’ve
done just that with The Mandarins. Not only
have we designed a great house style, but -
exclusively - we’ve set the development on a
plot where YOU ARE SAVING AROUND 50,000€ on
what any other developer would charge. WHAT
A SAVING!
The Mandarins has a very green, valley view,
studded with citrus groves, set quietly
away, off a quiet asphalt country lane. The
site runs down to a meandering stream,
babbling over a stony course down to the
coastal village and beach of Tavronitis,
just a short ten minute drive away.
Each Snobby Starter has its own parking
area, a 60 sq. m. courtyard garden, which
opens out onto your own land with a total
area of approximately 800 sq. m. for each
house.
Voukolies is less than a five minute drive
away, where there is a bank, chemist and a
whole variety of shops serving all your
everyday amenities. The beaches and villages
of Tavronitis, Maleme, Kolimbari and
Platanias can all be reached within 10 - 15
minutes, while Chania International Airport
is about 40 minutes away.

|
This delightful development is set within a
traditional Cretan village where the village
baker, a mini-market and tavernas are all
just a short stroll away - while a leisurely
fifteen minute walk brings you to a quiet
beach on Kissamos Bay, with its spectacular
view across to the Rotherpou Peninsular.
The village has a regular bus service to
Kissamos, a delightful market town with a
wide range of shops and tavernas just ten
minutes away. The picturesque fishing
village of Kolimbari can also be reached in
ten minutes. The medieval stone city of
Chania is 25 minutes away and Chania
International Airport takes only 40 minutes
by car or taxi.
Church Lane is set down a quiet tarmac lane,
just past the village church, amidst
countless olive trees. This small Snobby
development is beautifully planned on either
side of the lane with five houses in total.
There is off road parking for all and an
attractive landscaped area to give style and
character to the development. All have
spacious private walled gardens - two with
the optional extra of a tiled swimming pool
- and all have the added option of having a
stunning roof terrace, off the mezzanine
floor, to take full advantage of the
magnificent sea view, across the tops of
countless olive trees.
Interest - as always - is extremely high and
there are now only two Snobbys and a Posh
Pad left for sale.

Glorious views of snow capped mountains and
a wonderful sea view across to the Island of
Thodorou, framed by the peaks of a dramatic
gorge. Could this be your dream come true?
An excellent wide tarmac road snakes up
above the picturesque fishing village of
Kolimbari and the 16th century Gonia
Monastery The drive offers a fantastic view
of the bay below, across to Chania itself
and beyond, the snow covered peaks of the
White Mountains. Olive groves herald the
entrance to this traditional Cretan village,
on a tiny plain protected by a circle of
craggy peaks. Forty years ago, before the
road, there was just a donkey track here
which used to take an hour to reach
Kolimbari. Today you do it in five minutes
by car.
From the village square, a tarmac road leads
down to the lower village, through
traditional Cretan houses. Round the last
bend and take in the glorious sea view of
this Snobby development. Tear yourself away
and carry on down the tarmac lane, through
olive groves and between the soaring peaks
above you of a dramatic gorge. Just four
hundred metres from Island View you'll
discover the secret. The lane ends in a gasp
of pebbles onto a wonderful tiny cove which
looks across to the island. The crystal
clear water is perfect for fishing,
snorkelling, or a leisurely swim. Top up
your tan on the shingle beach - or sip a
cold drink from the Kantina there - which
also serves excellent Cretan food.
Both properties at Island View will have off
road parking areas. The two bedroom Snobby
enjoys a spacious private courtyard garden
of some 130 sq. m., while the impressive,
three bedroom Posh Pad has a walled garden
of approximately 170 sq. m. - both have the
option of a swimming pool and still there's
bags of space for sun terraces and gardens -
all completely private. The location, the
exclusivity, the uniqueness, make Island
View a dream come true.

VALLEY VIEW
|
|
Do you prefer somewhere quiet, yet still
have the convenience of being close to
places with plenty of life? Valley View fits
the bill perfectly.
Set off the main lane, leading into the
village square, with its kafenions, Valley
View is within shouting distance of the
village mini-market, which is open all year
round. Besides groceries and other staples,
it also sells bread and fresh vegetables
too.
Opposite Valley View is the bus stop, where
you can catch a bus to the market town of
Kissamos, twenty minutes away - or Kolimbari
in less than five minutes. There you'll find
a whole range of shops from hairdressers to
a DVD rental. There is also a bank and ATM
machines and a real choice of tavernas,
serving traditional Cretan food. Chania
itself is twenty minutes away and Chania
International Airport takes only 35 minutes.
Valley View is set looking across a valley -
a sea of countless olive trees, studded here
and there with the roof tops of tiny
villages. The development comprises six
Snobbys, each with two double bedrooms and a
Posh Pad with three double bedrooms.
There is off road parking, and all the
houses benefit from having spacious private
walled gardens.
This exclusive development has been much in
demand, with buyers rushing to buy due to
the high specification and sheer unbeatable
value. Now there are only two Snobbys
remaining. Could one of those be yours? |

The Spires is approached via a tarmac lane,
just a few minutes stroll from the village
square. In a perfect setting surrounded by
citrus groves in a lush green valley, along
the lane you'll discover a cluster of old
stone village buildings. two minutes walk
brings you to the local bus stop with
services into the market town of Voukolies -
fifteen minutes away - or less than ten
minutes into Tavronitis and its quiet beach,
fringed in the shade of Tamerind trees. The
exciting hustle and bustle of Platanias is
just over a 10 minutes drive away, Chania
can be reached in 20 minutes and Chania
Airport takes around 35 minutes.
We have planned the Spires to take into
account what the UK market prefers.
Consequently the development affords off
road parking, lush landscaping and just four
properties.
Three Snobbys, each with two double bedrooms
are to be built, with spacious private
courtyards of 80 sq. m. at an all-inclusive
price of 129,950€. The third Snobby has a
larger courtyard of 111 sq. m. and costs
just 135,000€.
The fourth property is a superb Posh Pad
with three double bedrooms, and this costs
149,950€, which includes a huge 118 sq. m.
private courtyard.
Walk through the stone paved alleyway and
set away from the houses you'll come across
lush landscaping. Step through the solid
gate set into the high wall and you'll
discover a wonderful pool area, set within a
landscaped, walled courtyard garden. This is
for the exclusive use of all the owners. It
will be the perfect place to sun bathe, swim
and just chill out. Being a courtyard it
also provides an excellent secure place for
young children to play. |

And these prices include a swimming pool
too!
