Neophyte - "....The foundations we found out
were not dug as deep as they should be."
It never fails to amaze us how people can
become experts on something they know little
about! All Snobbys are built to a high
standard - but we would say that wouldn't
we? Suffice to say, our houses are surveyed
by banks and insurance companies to ensure
build quality passes their standards for
earthquake cover and the granting of
mortgages.Doesn't that speak volumes? In
Greece strict construction regulations
dictate buildings must legally conform to
international anti-seismic standards. On
every Snobby development we actually EXCEED
these criteria. Enough said.
BIC Administrator - "If you have handed
over any form of financial commitment, act
to protect your interests without delay....
we believe they monitor this forum."
ALL Snobby purchasers have their deposits
legally secured so their money is never at
risk - and yes, we do monitor your site, and
others too. It is very disappointing to see
incorrect comments on websites which are
based on hearsay and incorrect information.
Davewt - "....if using an independent
lawyer is not on the cards, don't go there -
and in all honesty what kind of company
would trade under the name of Snobby Homes?"
A company with a sense of humour. Sir
Richard Branson must have taken a lot of
flak with an awful name like Virgin! Snobby
has its own lawyer representing the company.
While we do help clients by recommending an
independent lawyer, you are completely free
to appoint another if you so prefer. Legal
costs are within our all-inclusive prices
and if you prefer to find a lawyer of your
own choosing, we will discount the house
price by 500 euros towards your legal
expenses. |

Rick - "....we wanted a pool and they (Snobbys)
are not inexpensive properties to begin
with."
A Snobby with a pool costs in the
region of 130,000 pounds (and that’s 2010
prices!) - and that is our all-inclusive
price with furniture and purchase costs too.
And he thinks that's expensive? Come on. Why
does chasing rainbows come to mind?
Mavro-skilo - "....some of their
developments have a surprisingly small
amount of land. i. e. not enough for a
patio, never mind a garage."
Very surprising. Our paved courtyards are
invariably around 80 - 130 square metres.
That's huge! More than enough for a pool and
bags of space left over. Snobbys have a
broad market appeal, and not everyone is
lucky enough to afford acres of land - or if
they can, they don't necessarily want the
hassle of looking after it.
Name supplied "Snobby is not a registered
company and probably has no insurance. Build
quality shoddy, uses cheap foreign labour by
their own admission."
Snobby is a registered name and company
in Greece, with both English and Greek
directors. The company is privately funded,
has no bank borrowings and istherefore one
of the financially strongest developers in
Crete. This is why we don't need to ask for
stage payments to fund building. Our
financial standing means we can afford to
legally secure every deposit, ensuring at no
time is this ever placed financially at
risk. No other builder in Crete offers this
level of security. Our build quality is
excellent - but don't take our word for it.
Come and see our showhouse, sites in
progress and make up your own mind. All
developers in Crete use foreign labour and
so do we - in fact some we use are British -
and all are paid at the going rate.
